There is much less stress in daily life and the culture is not focused solely on work, but rather on relationships. This has created a life of greater peace and enjoyment.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My name is Nick and I am from South Africa, and I have an American wife and two sons. I grew up in South Africa and finished college as a social worker, after which I got heavily involved in humanitarian work along with my wife. I have lived 1 year in Canada, 3.5 years in America, and have been living in Croatia for 2.5 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I currently volunteer with our local church, as well as volunteer with the Christian Business Klub. I am also a life coach, helping empower people to fulfill their full potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are many things that I absolutely love about Croatia and reasons why I desire to make it my permanent home. Firstly, the people. Croatia is filled with many friendly people who are quick to smile and help when needed. At Least 99% of my interactions with Croatians have been very<\/p>\n\n\n\n

positive. I have had to learn the different cultures of Croatia in comparison to South Africa and America, but I feel in many ways it is better in Croatia. There is a real emphasis on building relationships and to have real depth to friendships. While building deep friendships takes time, once you have built them you have friends for life. The best comparison is that what Croatians see as friendship, Westerners would see as family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Imam zaista dobar odnos sa svojim susjedom, koji nam je bio od ogromne pomo\u0107i u prilagodbi na \u017eivot u Hrvatskoj. Pomagao nam je u svemu \u2013 od u\u010denja dru\u0161tvenih normi do ispunjavanja papirologije. Ovakva razina odnosa sa susjedom u Ju\u017enoj Africi je nezamisliva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kao drugo, obo\u017eavam klimu. Ona je savr\u0161eno blaga \u2013 nema ekstremnih vru\u0107ina ni hladno\u0107a, a ni visoke vla\u017enosti zraka. Obala je ljeti idealna za u\u017eivanje u toplim danima na pla\u017ei. Upravo je ova klima doprinijela tome da je Hrvatska tako lijepa zemlja. Kada putujem Ju\u017enom Afrikom ili Amerikom, nailazim na pojedina lijepa mjesta, ali u Hrvatskoj je cijela zemlja jedno veliko podru\u010dje ljepote. Svaki dio puta je slikovit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Velik razlog na\u0161eg preseljenja u Hrvatsku su sigurnost i iznimno niska stopa kriminala. Osvje\u017eavaju\u0107e je mo\u0107i \u0161etati ulicama danju i no\u0107u bez straha da bi se moglo dogoditi ne\u0161to lo\u0161e. Kada sam se prvi put doselio u Hrvatsku, bio sam potpuno \u0161okiran vidjev\u0161i devetogodi\u0161nju djevoj\u010dicu kako sama putuje autobusom. To u Americi nije mogu\u0107e, a u Ju\u017enoj Africi zasigurno ne. Morao sam nau\u010diti opustiti se u javnosti i prestati stalno razmi\u0161ljati o kriminalu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hrana i pi\u0107e u Hrvatskoj su izvrsni. Posebno mi se svi\u0111a bijelo vino, a upoznao sam se i s fantasti\u010dnim jelima poput punjenih paprika, \u0107evapa i pravog ro\u0161tilja. Ovdje postoji kultura u\u017eivanja u dru\u0161tvu i dobroj hrani, \u0161to je jedna od mojih omiljenih stvari u Hrvatskoj.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Naposljetku, sporiji na\u010din \u017eivota u Hrvatskoj ne\u0161to je u \u010demu zaista u\u017eivamo. U svakodnevici ima mnogo manje stresa, a kultura nije usmjerena samo na posao, ve\u0107 ponajprije na odnose. To je stvorilo \u017eivot ispunjen ve\u0107im mirom i zadovoljstvom. Provodim vi\u0161e vremena s obitelji, \u010de\u0161\u0107e istra\u017eujem prirodu, rado ugo\u0161\u0107ujem prijatelje i idem na kavu. Hrvatska me nau\u010dila u\u017eivati u onim najva\u017enijim stvarima u \u017eivotu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hrvatsku doista do\u017eivljavam kao raj za \u017eivot. Ako Bog da, ovdje \u0107u provesti ostatak svog \u017eivota i ne\u0107u po\u017ealiti niti jedan trenutak.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
