Day 1 – 2nd October 2025, Thursday – Zurich – Dubrovnik – Slano
Meeting of travellers from Switzerland at Zurich Airport at the information desk no later than 2.5 hours before the flight. Baggage drop-off and check-in for the scheduled flight (details to be provided after booking). Arrival at Dubrovnik Airport, followed by transfer to a 5-star hotel in Slano. Room check-in. Depending on arrival time, some program content may be held. Remaining participants will join the group at Admiral Grand Hotel in Slano in the afternoon. Free time and relaxation. Dinner. Overnight stay.
Day 2 – 3rd October 2025, Friday – Dubrovnik – Arboretum Trsteno
Breakfast. Departure toward Dubrovnik, the jewel of the Croatian coast, historically part of the Republic of Dubrovnik and a symbol of diplomacy and trade. A guided tour of the UNESCO-protected Old Town follows: Pile Gate, Onofrio’s Fountain, Franciscan Monastery, Stradun (main promenade), Jesuit Church of St. Ignatius, Dubrovnik Cathedral with relics of St. Blaise, Rector’s Palace, Church of St. Blaise with its lavish baroque altars, Orlando’s Column, Sponza Palace, and the City Bell Tower. Fans of Game of Thrones will recognize many filming locations. After the tour, free time for coffee, lunch, or souvenir shopping. Then transfer to Trsteno and a visit to the beautiful Arboretum Trsteno, the oldest garden architecture monument in Croatia and the oldest arboretum in the world. It features exotic plants and lush vegetation and is considered one of the Adriatic’s most stunning locations. Return to the hotel. Dinner. Overnight stay.
Day 3 – 4th October 2025, Saturday – Ston Walls – Pelješac Winery – Oyster Farm & Lunch – Ston Saltworks
Breakfast. Departure for Ston and a visit to the famous Ston Walls, the second longest in the world after the Great Wall of China. Then a wine tasting at a winery on the Pelješac Peninsula, renowned for top-quality wines. Return to Ston to visit an oyster farm, a local highlight, followed by a traditional lunch included in the package. A tour of one of Croatia’s saltworks is also planned – Ston’s saltworks is the oldest in Europe, dating back to the 14th century, and still produces salt by hand. Return to the hotel in Slano. Dinner. Overnight stay.
Day 4 – 5th October 2025, Sunday – Međugorje – Mostar
Breakfast. Departure to neighbouring Bosnia and Herzegovina. Visit to Međugorje, the largest Marian shrine for Croats and one of the most well-known Roman Catholic shrines worldwide. Međugorje became famous after children claimed to witness apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary in 1981. Today, it welcomes around a million Catholic pilgrims annually. Upon arrival, Holy Mass in German and free time for walking, coffee, or souvenir shopping. Then a visit to Apparition Hill for personal prayer time. Continuation to Mostar. Guided tour of the historic old town, including the famous Old Bridge and a visit to the ethnographic museum. Free time for traditional coffee and sweets. Return to the hotel. Dinner. Overnight stay.
Day 5 – 6th October 2025, Monday – Neretva – Boat Safari – Riverside Lunch – Narona Museum
Breakfast. Drive toward Metković and the unique landscape of the Neretva Delta, a marshy area reclaimed and transformed into fertile agricultural land. Visit a riverside excursion site. Then enjoy a sail in traditional Neretva boats and the popular Neretva photo-safari experience. Afterwards, a traditional lunch at a riverside restaurant with live folk music. Free time for feeding animals and souvenir shopping. The day ends with a visit to the in-situ archaeological museum of Ancient Narona. Return to the hotel. Dinner. Overnight stay.
Day 6 – 7th October 2025, Tuesday – Cavtat – Dubrovnik Airport – Zurich
Breakfast. Hotel check-out (free time depending on flight schedule). Departure to Cavtat, often voted the most beautiful small town in Croatia. A stroll along the 1.5 km-long seaside promenade through pine woods will leave you breathless. Free time for personal activities, coffee, or lunch at your own expense. Depending on return flight time, visits to the Račić Family Mausoleum or the birthplace of Vlaho Bukovac, one of Croatia’s most famous modern painters, are recommended. After free time, transfer to Dubrovnik Airport and check-in for a flight to Zurich.
